The program explores the culture of decoration, the relationship between wood carving and the impact of the environment on it (in particular, climate change and deforestation).
A new element has been added to the list of intangible cultural heritage. The list was supplemented by the practice of protecting Hutsul ornaments (patterns) and the associated cultural space. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture.
It is a set of activities carried out by an organization to protect an element of intangible cultural heritage or intangible cultural heritage in general.
In fact, the new practice is a program presented by the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. It started in 2000 with the idea of creating a textbook on Hutsul decoration.
The main purpose of this publication is the preservation and dissemination of knowledge about Hutsul decoration, its diversity, the people who practice it, the cultural and social context of daily use.
We remind you that earlier the tradition of the Generous Night was recognized as the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine.
