CHLOE’S OBSESSION – For two years, the heir was subjected to threats of attack and kidnapping. But how did the princess end up in the sights of a criminal organization and its fugitive leader?
“Spain accidentally released a Dutch drug lord”. That’s the headline that pops up on our screen on this cool April morning. Reading the article, we discover in disbelief that the Spanish justice system recently let one of Europe’s most wanted criminals escape. Pursued by Interpol for five years, Karim Buyakhrican took advantage of the wrongful permission of justice to come forward. And it remains uninteresting to this day.
The case was already quite incredible. But that was before finding out that the criminal was also the author of kidnapping and death threats directed at the princess. And not just any, Katarina-Amalia, the future queen of the Netherlands.

The princess who didn’t want to be queen
We vaguely remember the story of this young woman who did not want to be queen. Three years ago, we read his secrets in the biography. He then confirmed that he was not ready to ascend the throne. The Princess of Orange also stated that if her father were to die early, she would ask her mother to stand in for her for a while. We remember feeling a certain tenderness for this teenager who was visibly striving for a normal life. Not realizing that reality will eventually catch up with him.
Mokro mafia
It all starts, we learn, in September 2022. From the Netherlands, Katarina-Amalia then excitedly returned to the University of Amsterdam, where she took courses in politics, psychology, law and economics. A young woman shares her accommodation with other students. But he was quickly threatened with kidnapping and assault, as well as by Prime Minister Marc Rutte, a huge Moroccan drug and cocaine-trafficking organization that operates internationally.
Katarina-Amalia will have to move soon. He resides in The Hague Palace. And he goes out only under a good escort to go to class. So a young woman in her 20s should dream of anonymity more than ever, we think. The protective measures implemented in favor of the princess were also insufficient. Therefore, he finds his salvation in exile, the tabloids inform us.
A year in Madrid
According to the Dutch press, the student spent a little more than a year in Madrid, taking refuge, it is said, in the palace of Letizia and Felipe VI of Spain. He would continue his studies there remotely, and find a semblance of a normal life. This is evidenced by these photos of a young woman immortalized while shopping or near the Retiro Park. A few months later, the princess returned to Amsterdam, we are told by the Dutch NOS group media. And now we learn about the escape of the alleged leader of the Mokro mafia, Karim Buyakhrichan, and the possible author of the threats against Katarina-Amalia.

Error of judgment
We immediately look at the history of this alleged drug lord. If we understand correctly, the criminal was arrested in January in Marbella for money laundering of 6 million euros, before the preliminary arrest. However, we learned that he was released on parole at the end of February by the judge of the Malaga court. At that time, the judge only advised to confiscate the accused’s passport. The latter must also pay a deposit of 50,000 euros and report to the police station two days a month.
The court in Malaga also refuses to issue an arrest warrant to the National Court in Madrid, considering that the criminal must first be tried on the spot for money laundering. An urgent extradition request by the Dutch authorities, who wanted to try Karim Buyakhrican for drug trafficking, remains a dead letter. At the same time, the main stakeholder is sure to take advantage of this legal malpractice to get away. In the meantime, we note that the criminal disappeared at the beginning of April, three weeks ago.
And with the Spanish minister assuring the media that the alleged drug lord will be “brought to justice” as soon as possible, we can only imagine the Dutch royal family’s concern that he might return to Amsterdam. So far, no media outlet has further clarified the reason for the threats against the princess, although it is likely that the motives of the perpetrators are material. What we do know is that Katarina-Amalia seems determined to get her life back on track. He thus participated in his first state banquet on April 17 in Amsterdam.
