Formed by Big Hit Music in 2013, BTS, composed of RM, V, Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, J-Hope It is Suga, has more than 10 years of career. As a result, the group has released more than 20 albums, as in addition to the acclaimed studio albums, the lineup has also given voice to several EPs, repackaged albums and single albums.
With this in mind, RECREIO brought together all of BTS’s albums, separated by categories. Check out:
EPs
The EP, short for “Extended Play”, is an intermediate format between single and album, as it is too long to be a single and too short to be an album. This is because the EP contains four to six tracks and therefore, the playback duration is always less than 30 minutes.
Altogether, the BTS has 5 EPS; are they:
- O!RUL8,2?: released in 2013, with 10 tracks;
- Skool Luv Affair: released in 2014, with 10 tracks;
- The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Part 1: released in 2015, with nine tracks;
- The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Part 2: released in 2015, with nine tracks;
- Love Yourself: Her: released in 2017, with nine tracks and four cover versions, as well as two hidden tracks — exclusive to the physical disc.
STUDIO ALBUM
In playtime, this is the biggest! The studio album contains around seven to 15 tracks, with a total length that exceeds the 35-minute mark and, for this reason, is also known as “Long Play”.
In this category, BTS has 9 albums:
1. Dark & Wild
Released in August 2014, ‘Dark & Wild’ is BTS’s first work recorded in this format. In total, it features 14 tracks: ‘Intro: What Am I to You’, ‘Danger, ‘War of Hormone’, ‘Hip Hop Phile, ‘Let me Know’, ‘Rain’, ‘BTS Cypher Pt.3: Killer’ , ‘Interlude: What Are You Doing Now’, ‘Could You Turn off Your Cell Phone’, ‘Embarrassed’, ’24/7=Heaven’, ‘Look Here’, ‘So 4 more’ and ‘Outro: Do You Think Does It Make Sense?’.
2. Wake Up
The first full album in Japanese, ‘Wake Up’ was released on December 24, 2014 with 13 tracks, being a mix of original songs in Japanese and re-recordings of songs already known to the public. The album had three versions, two of which were limited editions with exclusive DVDs. Are they:

Released in September 2016, ‘Youth’ is BTS’ second Japanese album and like the first, it has thirteen tracks: ‘Introduction : Youth’, ‘Run (Japanese Ver.)’, ‘Fire (Japanese Ver.)’ , ‘Dope – Chou Yabee! (Japanese Ver.)’, ‘Good Day’, ‘Save Me (Japanese Ver.)’, ‘Funtan Syounendan (Japanese Ver.)’, ‘Peppuse (Japanese Ver.)’, ‘Wishing On A Star’, ‘Butterfly (Japanese Ver.)’, ‘For You’, ‘I Need U (Japanese Ver.)’ and ‘Epilogue : Young Forever (Japanese Ver.)’.
It is worth mentioning that the album received an exclusive edition that comes with a DVD containing the MVs for the Japanese versions of “Run” and “I Need U” and “For You”.
4. Wings
‘Wings’ arrived on music streaming platforms in October 2016. The album, which has four versions, has 15 new tracks:

6. Love Yourself: Tear
With four versions, ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ was promoted in May 2018. The project has 11 tracks. Are they:

8. Map of the Soul: 7 — The Journey
The group’s fourth Japanese studio album was ‘Map of The Soul: 7 — The Journey’, released in July 2020, with thirteen songs:

Single albums
In addition to EPs and studio albums, BTS also has four single albums. Are they:

- MIC Drop/DNA/Crystal Snow (2017);
- Love Yourself: Answer (2018);
- Fake Love/Airplane Pt. 2 (2018).
Repackage editions
Finally, there are repackage editions. This format releases a previous album, usually with the inclusion of a few more songs. BTS has four of these:
- Skool Luv Affair Special Addition: released in 2014, with two new tracks;
- You Never Walk Alone: released in 2017, features tracks from ‘Wings’ and three new songs;
- BTS, The Best: released in 2021, brings together tracks from ‘Face Yourself’ and ‘Map of the Soul: 7 — The Journey’, as well as a bonus track;
- Proof: released in 2022, it is a collection of the biggest hits released by the group in the ten years since its debut, in addition to featuring five new songs.
