Members of the group openly support Ukraine after the massive Russian invasion. The leader of the group has publicly admitted that he financially supports the Ukrainian armed forces.
Group members B2 appealed to the Moldovan authorities with a request to grant them and their family members Moldovan citizenship. This was announced by the head of the presidential administration, Adrian Belutsel.
Now some members of the group B2 and their family members have applied for citizenship of the Republic of Moldova. Our country is, is, and will remain friendly to all people who want to live in peace and understanding. We are a hospitable people who open the door and open our arms to all people who seek safety from war. And we will help everyone who stands for peace – and who is persecuted for it,” the message said.
Adrian Belucel also noted that the persecution of musicians began after they spoke out against the war in Ukraine started by Russia.
Therefore, he noted that applications for citizenship will be sent to President Maia Sandu and the documents will be reviewed in accordance with the procedure for “granting citizenship in the interests of the Republic of Moldova.”
“In our country there is always a place for those who promote peace, promote cultural development, civic education and interethnic friendship,” summed up Adrian Belutsel.
The members of the group have been previously reported B2 imprisoned in Thailand in a hotel in Phuket.
