Eurovision 2024: the representative of Israel will be accompanied by security

Israel’s representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, singer Eden Golan, will be accompanied by security. Thus, they will be the most protected delegation in the history of the competition. It was reported by Ynetnews.

The reason is the military conflict in the Gaza Strip. The singing competition will take place in the Swedish city of Malmo, known for its large and active Muslim population, as well as anti-Israel sentiments.

Golan will make his first appearance on the Eurovision stage in the second semi-final, scheduled for May 9, where he will perform a song from his Hurricane repertoire.

It was previously reported that the representatives of Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil will perform in the first semi-final as number five.
