The new copyright owner is Pophouse, founded by former ABBA member Bjorn Ulvaeus.
American rock band Kiss has sold the rights to its music, brand, image and intellectual property to Swedish company Pophouse for more than $300 million. The BBC reported this on Friday, April 5.
It is known that after the end of the agreement, Kiss will stop performing live in concerts as part of the End of the Road world tour.
The new copyright owner, Pophouse, founded by former ABA member Bjorn Ulvaeus, intends to develop content under the Kiss brand using artificial intelligence. Last year, the Swedish company and Kiss already worked on creating digital avatars of the band members.
Let’s remember that in December last year, KISS held a farewell live concert in New York. However, we are not talking about the complete end of the band’s musical career, as they will continue to perform in a virtual format.
It was previously reported that KISS held a concert for sharks off the coast of Australia.
