This film tells the story of people who find themselves at the center of events during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The documentary film Where From Where, directed by Maciek Hamel, received the BEST FILM award at the Vilnius International Film Festival (VIFF) Kino Pavasaris. This was reported by the State Film Agency of Ukraine.
It is known that the film was presented in the Viff Competition.
The film shows Ukrainian refugees – children, women, elderly and men – who, after the Russian invasion, were forced to leave their homes and go to an unknown future in order to find a safe haven. They board the evacuation bus and talk about the experiences they had to endure.
At the wheel was the director himself, who, from the beginning of the full Russian invasion, began his evacuation program to save people from the hot spots.
The international film festival Kino Pavasaris was founded in 1995. It takes place annually in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. It is the largest film festival in the country in terms of number of films and audience. This year it took place from March 14 to 27.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian documentary film 20 days in Mariupol received an Oscar.
