Titled “The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story”, Sony’s new short film about Spider-Man will be released tomorrow, the 27th, through the company’s YouTube. In the production trailer, it is possible to see Miles suffering from the traumas of his life, after becoming the protector of New York. Look!
According to information released through the website Variety, the short, which takes place in the universe of “Spider-Man: Through the Aranhaverse”, will follow Miles Morales/Spider-Man having to balance his responsibilities as a friend, student and superhero. However, when dealing with everything, teenagers end up having anxiety attacks and panic attacks.
Therefore, the character will need to understand that asking for help when needed is as courageous as protecting the city from danger. The short film is being released in partnership with the “Kevin Love Fund” (KLF), forming part of the fund’s new lesson plan focusing on mental health, “The Hero Within”.
“My hope for the short film would be that everyone, especially young people, understands that your feelings are valid and that you are not alone in this.
You see this with Spider-Man in the short film, where Miles has a trusted confidant. He is able to walk with his father and express what he is going through.
We can all learn from this — how important it is to reach out to someone, express your true emotions, speak your truth and not keep it all inside,” said Kevin Love, KLF founder, professional basketball player and mental health advocate.
In Brazil, “Spider-Man: Through the Aranhaverse” is available through the streaming service Max (formerly HBO Max). The film hit theaters in June 2023, and grossed more than US$690 million at the worldwide box office, becoming a success. Remember the trailer!
