What happened to the Pevensie brothers after the movies?

Discover the fate of the Pevensie brothers after the events of “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”, the latest adaptation of Narnia in cinemas

In 2005, Disney released the first film adapting the renowned “Chronicles of Narnia” franchise, by the author CS Lewis. Starring Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Anna Popplewell It is William Moseleyin total, the saga had three of its seven books turned into feature films: “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” (2005), “Prince Caspian” (2008) and “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” (2010 ).

Despite presenting the adventures of the Pevensie brothers in Narnia, the films never explained what happened to Pedro, Susana, Edmundo and Lúcia after the events of the last feature film — an answer that is present in the last books of the franchise, “The Horse and His Boy” and “The Last Battle”.

With this in mind, RECREIO brought the outcome of each of the Pevensie brothers present in the “Chronicles of Narnia” books. Check out!

Pedro

In “Prince Caspian”, after the end of the Beruna War against the Telmarines, Aslan arranges a meeting with Pedro and Susana, where he explains that they were both grown up, and that they would no longer return to Narnia. Therefore, after returning to England, Pedro continues to live with professor Digory Kirke, to continue his studies and enter college.

At the age of 22, Peter and all other humans who have ever visited Narnia receive a vision of King Tirian, the current ruler of Narnia, asking for help. Therefore, he decides to return to the kingdom, and goes in search of the rings used by Kirke to go to this world at the time of its creation alongside Edmund.

After collecting the items, the brothers go to a train station to meet Lúcia, Eustáquio, Jill, Polly and Professor Digory, who would also embark for Narnia. While they were on the locomotive, where the Pevensie parents were also present, an accident occurs in which no one comes out alive.

Although, in our world, everyone dies, in the vision of Pedro and his friends they are transported directly to Narnia, where they come face to face with Aslan causing the apocalypse of the kingdom. The leader then recruits the good Narnians to move on to the “real Narnia”, the Country of Aslan. The seven visitors accept, and Pedro is responsible for closing the door to the passage that connected the human world with the magical kingdom, where he lives forever.

Susana

After her last visit to Narnia, presented in “Prince Caspian”, Susana decides to focus on her studies and, in 1942, travels with her parents to the United States, where she prioritizes her education until 1945.

Susana, however, is the only one who does not embark on the last adventure in Narnia alongside her brothers, Eustáquio, Jill, Polly and Professor Digory. This happens because, according to Pedro, she is no longer a “friend of Narnia”.

In the book, it is explained that the girl lost faith in Narnia, and began to believe that everything was just an illusion and a joke made by the Pevensies when they were younger. In “The Last Battle”, Jill states that Susana now “only thinks about lingerie, makeup and social commitments. After all, she was always crazy about being big.”

Edmundo and Lucia

Unlike Pedro and Susana, the ending of Edmundo and Lúcia is not very different. One year after the events of “Prince Caspian”, while Pedro returns to live with professor Digory Kirke, and Susana travels to the United States with her parents, Edmundo and Lúcia start to live with their uncles Arnaldo and Alberta, Eustáquio’s parents, cousin who would also travel with the two in “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”.

At the end of the work, the youngest Pevensies are informed by Aslan that, like their brothers, they are already very grown up and learned what they should in Narnia, and should not return to the magical kingdom. Despite this, in the years that followed, the youngest children maintained a strong memory of the kingdom, and did not forget the other world — something that did not happen to the older ones.

Just like Pedro, Edmundo and Lúcia also receive Tirian’s vision that Narnia was in trouble, and embark on the last adventure alongside their older brother, as well as Eustáquio, Jill, Polly and Professor Digory. At the time, Lúcia was 17 years old, and Edmundo was 19.
