The long-awaited 2024 Oscar ceremony will be broadcast tomorrow, the 10th. Remember some films that have already won for ‘Best Animated Feature’
Tomorrow, the 10th, starting at 7pm, the subscription channel TNT and the streaming platform MAX, will broadcast live the 96th edition of the Oscars, the world’s main film industry award, where this year’s ceremony will be led by the presenter Jimmy Kimmel.
Responsible for rewarding the main cinema productions of the year, one of the categories that is highly anticipated by the public is “Best Animation”. However, despite being a very important category, it has not been part of the event since its creation, and only became part of the awards in 2002.
In 2024, the films competing for the award are: “The Boy and the Crane”, “Elements”, “Nimona”, “My Robot Friend”, “Spider-Man: Through the Aranhaverse”. To date, 21 productions have had the chance to be awarded the dream statuette.
With that in mind, RECREIO has selected five films that have already won the Oscar for “Best Animation” and that you need to watch. Check out!
1. Shrek — 2002
In the debut year of the “Best Animation” category, the big winner of the night was “Shrek”, from DreamWorks, which competed with only two other productions, “Jimmy Neutron: The Genius”, from Nickelodeon, and “Monsters, Inc”. , from the Pixar.
