On Sunday, March 3, 2024, in the One Sunday in the Country program, Isabelle Boulay talked about the two men in her life, her son and her companion, the Minister of Justice.
Isabel Boulein and Eric DuPont-Moretti are a couple we tend to forget because they’re so amazing. Rarely talking about her personal life, the Canadian singer opened up on The Frederick Lopez Show, which aired this Sunday, March 3. He especially returned to this strange “painting” where he says “bloom”, “distance and time” as allies. “There’s nothing sensible about love,” she exclaimed with a laugh.
“I will always be a woman people wait for”
Since the beginning of their relationship, Isabel Boule and Eric Dupont-Moretti have chosen to live separately so that they can pursue their careers without sacrifice. “We have very intense lives on both sides, and nobody wants to stop their trajectory,” he confided. “At first I was a little afraid (Editor’s note: about his mandate as Minister of Justice). I wanted to continue living as before, and I did. I think it is not my place, where I should live in the ministry. I also want to preserve my life as an artist, my life as a woman, my life as a lover. I definitely miss him from time to time, but you can’t stop someone from living their destiny out of selfishness. He is in his place. He is where he should be, and we must not forget that in life people lend us money, no one owns us. I will always be a woman who is expected. He is also a person we are waiting for.”
Her miracle baby
The one he will never wait for is his son. Today, the 15-year-old Canadian singer tearfully returned to her miraculous pregnancy and the appearance of a second man in her life. Born from a previous union, Marcus burst into Isabel Bulla’s life when she least expected him. “Son, that was a surprise, I shouldn’t have. It was a miracle. I was getting used to the idea that one day I might adopt a child with my best friend, and then I got pregnant while doing one of the biggest tours of my life.” For this “elegant and charming boy” she “would be ready to stop everything”. He remembers crying. “It was the only moment in my life when I said to myself: there is no one who can come and disturb us. Finally someone out there that I could stop everything for. I see her again when she was little, she was in front of me, oh my God, she was so beautiful.” Finally someone who fulfills him in the sometimes shallow environment in which he thrives. Earlier during the show, he said: “The spotlight is an empty light, but it does not warm us.”
