The Prince of Wales is behind a major social housing project for his Duchy of Cornwall. He, who has allocated nearly 3 million dollars for the construction of these new houses, announced this news this Sunday, February 18, through a press release.
Prince William is not weakening. Kate Middleton is recuperating at Adelaide Cottage after undergoing surgery last January as she continues her many commitments. This Sunday, February 18, he will be present at the British ceremony of the Bafta, the award ceremony for the best feature films of the year. Furthermore, he also announced the launch of a large-scale program for the homeless through a Kensington Palace press release. Several houses are set to be built on the Duchy of Cornwall’s estate in Nunsledan, a suburb of Newquay. An initiative that embodies the Prince of Wales’ commitment to people in need.

The project, carried out in partnership with local organizations such as Homewards and St Petrocs, aims to build 24 homes between September 2024, when work starts, and autumn 2025. Times , the homes will be as “warm” as possible, as Prince William wishes, and will respect the “traditional Cornish seaside” style. They should also be built with low-carbon slate roofs, granite cladding, solar panels and heat pumps. Like his father, Charles III, Kate Middleton’s husband is committed to fighting global warming. Furthermore, the homeless will be resettled and benefit from support for their professional reintegration.
The initiative is part of a campaign to tackle homelessness launched by Prince William last June. The latter left about 3 million pounds from his foundation, the Royal Foundation, founded in 2009, to realize his ambitions.
