Disney acquired the rights to the Taylor Swift movie for $75 million

Disney acquired the rights to show Taylor Swift’s concert film The Eras Tour for $75 million. It is reported by different types.

It was noted that Netflix and Universal Pictures wanted to acquire the rights, but Disney offered the broadcaster the highest amount. This is one of the biggest deals in the history of online cinemas.

It should be noted that the tour had a budget of $20 million and the film grossed $261.7 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing concert film to date.

The movie “Eras Tour” will be released on Disney+ on March 15. Moreover, unlike the theatrical recording, it will be an extended version. It includes a performance by Cardigan and four other unreleased acoustic songs.

It was previously reported that Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, American football player Travis Kelce, are planning to tie the knot this summer.
