Hospitalizations in the royal family follow one another. Their consequences concern the British population and not only.
Sometimes passed in silence, and sometimes revealed in press releases, the health problems of the members of the royal family, unfortunately, never end. King Charles III and the Princess of Wales even stayed at the London clinic for a while at the same time, at the end of January. A facility known for its quality of care, but above all… its discretion.

Radio silence around Kate Middleton
Many people wish the walls of the London clinic could talk. No information has surfaced about Kate Middleton’s mysterious hospitalization for “scheduled abdominal surgery” in January. Nothing to worry about for now. Except, perhaps, for his suspension until Easter, some long months after the operation, and above all for the deafening silence which surrounded the reasons for such a break. It’s fertile ground for gossip, including cancer. If Buckingham denied the information, several British media did not hide their concern. “It is clear how long Kate will stay in the hospital and the tone of the statement released by the palace that her health condition is serious,” he analyzed. The BBC.
Double diagnosis for King Charles
Charles III left the hospital three days later after undergoing surgery at the same site as his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, for an enlarged prostate on January 26. However, this Monday, February 5, the palace announced in a press release that the sovereign is suffering from cancer, without specifying its form. On the other hand, Buckingham testifies that the latter has nothing to do with his previous operation, during which “another reason for concern was noted. Further tests confirmed a type of cancer.’ The king has always been very transparent about his health. the palace states in its press release that the latter “started a regular treatment program today, during which the doctors advised him to postpone his public activities”. “His Majesty has decided to share his diagnosis to avoid any speculation and in the hope that it may contribute to the public’s understanding of all those around the world who suffer from cancer.”
Unity is strength
Who will take over? With two members of the royal family, no less, unable to fulfill their public functions, the British media are wondering about the organization that Buckingham will create. Prince William, son of Charles and husband of Kate Middleton, will resume his public career on Wednesday with an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle. His brother, Prince Harry, who is no longer an active member of the royal family, has nevertheless announced his arrival in the United Kingdom in the coming days. An image of a (royal) family united around its members, which almost forgot the disputes of the last years.
