The head of the Bihus.Info project, Denis Bigus, said that the illegal surveillance of the team was carried out by the SBU, namely the Department for the Protection of National Statehood.

This is discussed in a new video project.
It is noted that journalists managed to obtain video recordings from the hotel cameras and identify the participants in the surveillance.
It is alleged that the SBU involved about 30 people in surveillance. According to journalists:
- On January 26, the day before Bihus.Info’s visit to the country complex, a group of people held their “corporate party” there, who booked houses using disposable SIM cards, arrived at cover numbers and brought huge suitcases with them;
- on the morning of December 27, the Bihus.Info team began coming to the complex for training;
- The next day, several more groups of people came to the complex for vacation, and also booked one of the houses again for another date – according to journalists, the purpose of such actions was to remove surveillance cameras that were installed behind wall hangers and disguised as fire alarms.
The SBU has already commented on this information. A statement published by the department’s press service claims that Bihus.info employees were among the clients of drug dealers.
In particular, one of the operators who appeared in criminal proceedings for the illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, the intelligence service notes.
It is noted that the SBU initiated criminal proceedings in accordance with Art. 359 of the Criminal Code (illegal acquisition, sale or use of special technical means of obtaining information). Response proceedings are being carried out.
The leadership of the SBU also made appropriate personnel decisions for the Department for the Protection of National Statehood and optimized the directions of its work, the special service noted.
