The actress who played Rhaenyra Targaryen in ‘House of the Dragon’ has been confirmed as Supergirl by James Gunn
The new DCU Supergirl has been chosen and will be the actress Milly Alcock! At just 23 years old, she became known after playing Rhaenyra Targaryen during the first season of ‘House of the Dragon’, a series derived from ‘Game Of Thrones’, available on the HBO MAX streaming service.
Milly Alcock will be the protagonist of ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’, a film based on the DC comics of the same name. The project does not yet have a defined director, however, the script will be written by Ana Nogueira (The Vampire Diaries).
However, Supergirl must appear in the DCU before the release of her first solo film. This should happen in ‘Superman: Legacy’, according to Deadline, a feature that james gunn will write and direct, being the first in this new universe, but the information has not been officially confirmed. The new Man of Steel film is expected to hit theaters in July 2025.
According to Deadline, Milly Alcock was competing with Emilia Jones It is Meg Donnelly for her role as Supergirl on the big screen. However, james gunn chose Alcock to live Kara Zor-El and officially announced it on his Instagram account.
