Celebrating 18 years since the release of the first film in January, remember some unforgettable scenes from “High School Musical”
Last weekend, “High School Musical”, one of the most profitable film franchises ever launched by Disney Channel, celebrated 18 years since the release of its first film. Despite its almost two decades of existence, the saga continues to attract a huge legion of fans in all parts of the world.
To celebrate such a special date, RECREIO separated five unforgettable scenes from the “High School Musical” films that are loved by everyone. Check out!
1. Troy and Gabriella’s first date
The New Year’s party for young people at the ski club marks the beginning of the whole saga. It is at this event that the story of Troy and Gabriella also begins, when the two are called on stage to sing “Start of Something New”.
Despite being shy, they face the challenge and, soon after, watch the fireworks together. Before saying goodbye, the two exchange numbers and, some time later, they end up meeting again at East High School.
2. The Wildcats working together
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you and all your school friends worked together in the same place? This is what happens in “High School Musical 2”, giving us memorable moments, ranging from the assignment of tasks in the kitchen with “Work This Out”, the Wildcats baseball game against the Lava Springs employees, to the presentation of “Everyday” with all students.
3. Troy and Gabriella’s first kiss
Throughout the first film, the most anticipated moment for most fans was the kiss between Troy and Gabriella, the main couple in the plot. The kiss only happens, however, at the end of the second film, when the couple, alongside their friends, enjoy the night on the golf course at the Lava Springs country club.
4. Ryan and Sharpay’s dreams in “I Want It All”
In “High School Musical 3: Graduation Year”, the main plot revolves around the characters’ decision on what they will do after high school. However, one of the most memorable moments is when brothers Ryan and Sharpay share their dreams of becoming Broadway stars in “I Want It All.”
5. Graduation
After several memorable moments, the franchise ends with the graduation of the Wildcats. The scene features an emotional speech from Troy, who recalls some unforgettable details from the films, before the last song “High School Musical”, which ends with the six protagonists closing the curtain, ending the hugely successful franchise.
