Model, actress, podcaster and muse for Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb fragrance, Emily Ratajkowski, has been giving her new look since 2023, called Tiger Lily. A sunnier and more sensual fragrance that clings to the skin of the wearer of many hats without being locked into any role.
Madame Figaro. – What do you think about when you look in the mirror in the morning?
Emily Ratajkowski. – So many things. Starting with my plan for the day. I can get my mind absorbed in a movie I’ve seen or a book I’m passionate about. But let’s be clear, most of my mornings are very “practical” because I have to get my son ready and off to school.
A beauty routine that works for you.
I attach great importance to skin care. I haven’t always done this, but it’s definitely a priority today. I use retinol, apply a vitamin C serum, and wear sunscreen every day.

Best advice you’ve been given for self-confidence.
I think it’s about knowing yourself well and sticking to what works for you. In the United States, we like to try things, follow trends, but I think the best thing is to have your own look.
A smell that takes you back to childhood.
Definitely eucalyptus, because in California, where I grew up, there were a lot of them.
How is the new one? FlowerBomb Tiger Lily does it suit you?
It has this little tropical touch that takes me right back to summer. And this, even if it’s cold. I’m a summer girl and love scents that warm me up.

Are you still passionate about what you do?
Yes, because I have the luxury of doing many different things. I wrote a book (My bodyin 2022), I host a podcast called High Low with EmRata, I also have various projects in the fashion industry, such as my swimwear line or fashion shows, for which I am asked. All this makes me meet different people and I feel very lucky.
The misunderstanding that often happens about you.
Of course, there must be many of them, but I don’t pay attention to them. We can’t control what people think.

When was the last time you were proud of yourself?
Women know that being a single mother who also works is not always easy. I am proud of myself when I manage to be on all fronts: present and involved in my son’s life, but also in my professional life. Waking up at 7am and doing all my mommy tasks, then going on interviews, taking care of my podcast before going back to my role as a parent… This takes real organization.

What advice can you give a single parent?
I believe that we should not underestimate the importance of the environment in the upbringing of our child. Of course, he needs you first, but exposing him to other people is really good for him. So don’t delay.

Jane Fonda and Angela Davis are real inspirations to me. Jane Fonda is the first to show so many different sides in the industry. She’s a great actress, an engaged activist, and she’s lived through very different times. I think that’s all I would talk to him about. And Angela Davis, because I would be interested in talking to this American feminist activist whose voice is carried without regard for political correctness.
