The location for the temporary exhibition is the area in front of the Central Cultural Building which was destroyed by the Russians.

A sculpture by Japanese artist Yoshio Yagi was placed in Irpen. This was announced by the mayor of the city, Alexander Markushin.

The sculpture is called Meditation Space for a monk.

The work, according to the sculptor, symbolizes the path of a monk climbing a staircase next to a rock to meditate in a hermit’s cell.

“Contemporary art drawing the world’s attention to the destroyed culture of Irpen – the KrasnoeChernoe art association brought the sculpture of the Japanese artist Yoshio Yagi to Irpen. Now it is installed near the ruins of the Central House of Culture. The official opening of the sculpture and a press conference will take place on January 16 at 12:00 near the Central House of culture,” Markushin wrote.
