Fans of Percy Jackson, who were eagerly awaiting the live-action adaptation produced by Disney+, were able to discover more about this universe with the new book in the franchise created by the author Rick Riordan. Entitled “The Sun and the Star”, the work was released by Intrínseca on July 13th, and follows the new adventures of the demigod Nico di Angelo, alongside his boyfriend Will Solace.

1. The Lost Hero
In “The Lost Hero”, three new demigods were rescued from a school for troubled children and taken to Camp Half-Blood: Jason, son of Zeus, had his memory stolen by Hera; Pipper, daughter of Aphrodite, needs to find out the whereabouts of her kidnapped father, and Leo, son of Hephaestus, is capable of creating anything with his hands, in addition to controlling fire — although this still causes him some problems. As they seek to understand their past, the three set out to face a terrifying new prophecy.
2. The Son of Neptune
In “The Son of Neptune”, Percy Jackson awakens with no memory, clinging only to the memories of his girlfriend, Annabeth, and one certainty: the days of journeys and battles are not over. With two indestructible gorgons on his trail, he arrives at a camp of heroes he doesn’t recognize: Camp Jupiter, the Roman equivalent of Camp Half-Blood. There, he discovers that the Greek god of death, Thanatos, is imprisoned and that Gaia intends to gather an army of giants to take over the world of the gods.
Alongside two new friends, Hazel and Frank, Percy embarks on a seemingly impossible mission to Alaska, a land beyond the control of the gods, to fulfill his role in the mysterious Prophecy of the Seven. If they fail, the consequences, of course, will be disastrous.
3. The Mark of Athena
Annabeth is terrified. Just when she is about to meet Percy again — after six months away because of Hera — Camp Jupiter seems to be preparing for combat. Aboard the Argo II with friends Jason, Piper and Leo, she can’t blame the Roman demigods for thinking the ship is a Greek weapon of war: after all, with a smoking bronze dragon as its figurehead, the fantastic creation of Leo really doesn’t seem friendly at all. Annabeth can only hope that the Romans see their praetor Jason on the ship and understand that the visitors to Camp Half-Blood are there on a mission of peace.
Annabeth’s problems don’t stop there — she carries a gift from her mother in her pocket, which came with an intimidating order: Follow the Mark of Athena. Avenge me. The warrior already carries the weight of the prophecy that will send seven demigods in search of the Doors of Death. What more could Athena want from her?
Annabeth’s biggest fear, however, is that Percy has changed. What if he is already too used to Roman customs? Will he still need his old friends? As the daughter of the goddess of war and wisdom, Annabeth knows she was born to lead; however, she also knows that she will never want to live without Seaweed Head again.
4. The House of Hades
In the book, the date of Gaia’s awakening approaches, and the situation could not be worse for the demigods. Percy and Annabeth have fallen into Tartarus, where they are tormented not only by hunger, thirst and various injuries, but also by the various enemies they have defeated over the years and who now emerge from the shadows seeking revenge. The couple’s only hope lies in reaching the Doors of Death and closing them before it is too late. On the mortal side, the crew of the Argo II also faces several difficulties to reach the House of Hades, in Epirus, and is pursued by Gaia’s minions all the way. 5. The Blood of Olympus
In “The Blood of Olympus”, the date of Gaia’s awakening approaches, and the situation could not be worse for the demigods. On one side, Percy Jackson and the other crew of the Argo II head east, where the giants and other allies of Gaia gather and are ready to crush them and make the necessary sacrifice for the awakening of Mother Earth. On the other, Nico, Reyna and Coach Hedge take the Athens Parthenos west in a desperate attempt to avoid war between Camps Half-Blood and Jupiter while being pursued by a terrible hunter.
To make matters worse, after passing through the House of Hades, the heroes are shaken by ghosts from the past and their own fears about the success of the mission. The gods, still suffering from the split personality, cannot help. How will the demigods be able to defeat an army of giants alone and prevent a war between the camps? The journey to Athens is dangerous, but there is no other option. They have already sacrificed a lot to get where they are. And, if Gaia awakens, it will be the end.
6. The Hidden Oracle
Upon falling to Earth, more precisely in a dumpster in a dirty alley in New York, the former god Apollo will need to deal with problems of all kinds to recover his lost divinity, as well as his gallery of enemies, which range from gods and monsters. to mere mortals. To overcome the obstacles of his new existential condition, he will count on the help of Meg McCaffrey, a homeless and ragged demigod, and Percy Jackson.
However, upon arriving at Camp Half-Blood, the trio is faced with even more problems: several demigods are missing, and the Oracle of Delphi, the main source of prophecies, is abandoned, in complete darkness. Now, the former god will have to solve these mysteries, recover the oracle and, most importantly, return to being the beautiful and graceful immortal that everyone loves.
7. The Shadow Prophecy
In the first book, “The Hidden Oracle”, Apollo faced Nero, a villain whose objective is to destroy all existing oracles and thus control the future. In “The Prophecy of Shadows”, he must free another oracle, but ends up coming across a Roman emperor fascinated by cruel spectacles — and who is also an important part of the former god’s past. While trying not to go crazy amidst so many twists and turns, Apollo also needs to deal with his new human form, which is almost as unpleasant as the absence of his powers.
8. The Labyrinth of Fire
When Apollo is cast to earth by Zeus’ punishment, he becomes a clumsy mortal teenager named Lester Papadopoulos. To regain his place on Mount Olympus, he must free five oracles without the help of any divine power. With the help of some demigod friends, such as Percy Jackson, Leo Valdez and Meg McCaffrey, Apollo has already managed to free two of the oracles and now, in this third book in the series, he heads to sunny California for another adventure.
The latest clues have revealed that an evil triumvirate, made up of ancient Roman emperors, is planning an attack on Camp Jupiter. Now, Apollo and Meg embark on an expedition through Daedalus’ Labyrinth in search of the next oracle, in a story filled with crossword puzzles, talking horses and the villainy of the most feared emperor of antiquity: Caligula.
9. The Tyrant’s Tomb
After awakening Zeus’ fury because of the war with Gaia, Apollo is expelled from Olympus and ends up on earth, more precisely in a dumpster in a dirty alley in New York. Weak, disoriented and powerless, he is now Lester Papadopoulos, a clumsy 16-year-old teenager who, to regain his place, will need to free five oracles who are in complete darkness. The series takes place in the same universe as the Percy Jackson saga and follows the former god’s journey, full of challenges and humiliations.
10. Nero’s Tower
In their final challenge, Apollo and his incredible friend and master Meg will follow the prophecy revealed by the harpy Ella, returning to New York to fulfill their mission in Nero’s tower. There, they will have to sneak in to prevent the emperor from implementing his megalomaniacal plan of destruction. If he wants to return to Olympus and save his demigod friends, Apollo will need to defeat the feared Nero and arch-enemy Python, who can’t wait to dominate the Oracle of Delphi forever. The time has come to face the battles that will forever define Apollo’s destiny.
