This Friday, 22nd, Jimin, a member of BTS, released his new song “Closer Than This”, where he presents a “see you later” message to all ARMYs. It is worth remembering that, currently, the star is performing his mandatory military service in the South Korean army.
During the video clip, we can see Jimin lovingly preparing the song for fans inside the studio, walking through the streets of Brooklyn, New York, as well as some exciting images of his career with BTS, from their debut to the present day. Watch!
Through the lyrics, the idol says goodbye to his fans for a brief time, where he says, “No need to worry now / I’m letting go of your hand for a while, but it’s just a little comma in our story / Just call my name out loud / Until the days turn purple again.”
Jimin enlisted alongside Jungkook on December 12 at the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center in Yeoncheon County, South Korea, the same unit where Jin, the oldest member of the group, acts.
Currently, all BTS members are already performing mandatory military service. The group should only meet in its full formation in 2025, when the seven are released from their obligations.
