BTS gains space in new documentary about Michael Jackson’s legacy

The members of BTS received special mention and one of their tracks was analyzed in a new documentary about Michael Jackson’s album ‘Thriller’

The documentary about the 40th anniversary of the singer’s album “Thriller” Michael Jacksonreleased in 1982, analyzes the history and relevance of the album based on statements from renowned professionals, as well as bringing a special mention to one of the biggest groups of the last generation: BTS!

Among the names involved in the production, the documentary film, which premiered on December 2, 2023 on Showtime and Paramount+, included statements from Steven Ivorymusic and culture journalist, who in one of the excerpts, revealed: “I totally agree with BTS”, while analyzing how the king of pop influenced the group’s dance movements, especially in the choreography of “Dynamite”.

In addition to Ivory, Nelson Georgejournalist and cultural critic, also provided comments on the topic and highlighted the inspiring action that Michael Jackson brings to k-pop, mainly in the costumes, choreography and level of presentations. So much so, that in the documentary, as highlighted by the Koreaboo portal, there is the insertion of a comparison of dance movements from the “Dynamite” video with choreographies by the artist himself.
