The first season aired from August 21 to October 23, 2022. It was renewed for a second season just one week after the series premiered to record-breaking ratings for HBO.
The second season of House of the Dragon will premiere “early summer” 2024 on HBO. Network head Casey Bloys made the announcement at a press event in New York, Variety reports.
At a media presentation, the first trailer for the second season was shown exclusively to journalists, but details about the plot of the series were not revealed. However, during the Q&A event, Bloys said that he expects to begin filming on the spin-off next spring.
Note that the series is based on the book Fire and Blood by Game of Thrones author George RR Martin. It tells the story of the Targaryen dynasty in the fictional continent of Westeros. The events take place about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and about 100 years after the Targaryens unify the Seven Kingdoms.
It was previously reported that Warner Bros. Pictures released the debut trailer for the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road.
The official trailer for the Berlin series has been released
