In the American television program “The Today Show”, the 77-year-old singer spoke frankly about her relationship with time.
There are some birthdays that are harder to celebrate than others. Symbolic tube Believe it de Cher celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and for its performer, that milestone seems difficult to overcome. Indeed, when the American journalist Harry Smith remarked to the singer how “terrible” it was that her famous. hit marks the quarter century of its existence, it was not of the same opinion. “It’s not that great. It makes me angry,” he joked during this interview on “The Today Show,” which aired Tuesday, Nov. 28. “So you and your age aren’t friends?” continues the interested host. “No. My mother didn’t mind, but I did. I hate it,” answered the artist with all honesty.

The journalist continues, assuring that he is also struggling to pass the symbolic 70-year threshold. To which Cher answered laughing at the age of 77.
“I’ll always do the same things”
This does not mean that the septuagenarian has abandoned her youthful habits, as she already stated last September on Good Morning Britain, where she was quizzed about her relationship with ageing. “I remember when my friend Paulette and I were talking about when we should cut our hair and stop wearing jeans because that’s what women seemed to be doing at the time and it still hasn’t caught on. “I just can’t believe I’m going to be 80 at some point, sooner than I’d like,” he said. Before promising. “I’ll always wear my jeans, I’ll always have long hair, and I’ll always do what I’ve always done.”
