Spotify provides ‘Retrospective 2023’; See how to check yours!

One of the most awaited moments for music fans has arrived: the Retrospective Spotify! Also called Spotify Wrapped, the function was made available this Wednesday, the 29th, presenting a personalized page for each user that reveals which tracks, artists, albums and podcasts were most listened to during the year.

How to check out the 2023 Retrospective on Spotify?

To find out which were the most listened to musical releases in 2023, you need to click on the “Retrospective” tab, located at the top of the application’s home screen, or access the Spotify Wrapped website via the browser, where the user is already directed automatically for the retrospective.

As explained by the Tilt do Uol portal, the tool gained two new features this year. This is because the music streaming platform presents a persona for each user based on the most listened to songs of the year. Are they:

  • Changing: your favorite artist changes all the time.
  • Alchemist: you create your playlists more than anyone else.
  • Ray of light: your musical taste radiates the light that exists within you — deep down, it means that you listen to fun and upbeat music

Furthermore, it is possible to use the “Match” experience, where the user can invite friends and combine their favorite songs and create a single playlist with the songs most listened to by each of them combined.

More than that, Spotify’s 2023 Retrospective also reveals the top 5 most listened to genres and artists, as well as the number of consecutive minutes and days listened to content on Spotify over the last entire year.
