Before becoming a trainee, Jungkook held an audition that opened the door for him to become a member of BTS; find out how it went!

However, the path taken to reach the international spotlight was long, having started in the idol’s pre-adolescence, when, at the age of 14, he auditioned to participate in the program “Superstar K” in an attempt to become the next talent revealed by broadcaster Mnet.
How was that?
According to the Koreaboo portal, Kookie (nickname given by the group’s fandom), auditioned in his hometown, Busan, Korea, to participate in the 3rd season of the program. The audition video is available on Mnet’s YouTube channel, where, just over a minute long, it shows Jungkook super concentrated wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, while singing a verse from “Lost Child”, a song by idol, UI. Even though he didn’t go through to the other phases of the program, the audition opened new doors for his career. J.K.. This is because agency recruiters saw potential in Jungkook, causing him to receive different proposals — from different places — to become a trainee.
In total, 7 entertainment agencies demonstrated their interest in maintaining Jungkook as one of his trainees. But despite receiving offers from companies such as JYP Entertainment, FNC Entertainment and Starship Entertainment, Jungkook decided to have his career managed by Big Hit Entertainment.
The reason why J.K. chose Big Hit, even though at the time it was a smaller company compared to the others, it happened because he admired RMwho before becoming a trainee at the company and the first member of BTS, already had a wide reputation in the underground scene due to his skills as a rapper.
That way, Jungkook He became part of Big Hit, proving his first talents by appearing as a background dancer in presentations by the company’s established idols, as happened with GLAM’s “Glamorous” and Jo Kwon’s “I’m Da One”.
The debut of Jungkook with a member of BTS happened on June 13, 2013, with the mini-album “2 Cool 4 Skool”, which arrived accompanied by the title track “No More Dream”, which received an MV influenced by Hip Hop aesthetics. Remember!
After the ten-year anniversary of BTS’ formation, celebrated this year, Jungkook made his debut as a soloist. His solo debut came on September 14th with the release of the single “SEVEN”, which features American singer Latto.
