Statement from the agency responsible for NewJeans’ career, ADOR, was shared after a live broadcast by member Hanni
After controversies related to the management of NewJeans, ADOR, the agency responsible for the group’s career, released an official statement to clarify the accusations that gained strength through social media. The information is from Soompi.
This is because, on November 21, one of the group members, Hanniheld a live broadcast, where, among the various topics, he shared that he would like to take more Korean classes, but that when he informed the company, his request was denied “because they said I didn’t need them.”
She also said that her last Korean class was “two years ago”, which raised concerns among the fandom, as the idol’s statement was understood as the company’s refusal to provide the education that the NewJeans members wanted.
However, last Wednesday, 23, Hanni clarified that there was a flaw in the way the message transmitted by her was understood by the fandom. The idol’s statement came through a post on the fan communication platform, Phoning. Check the translation:
Bunnies!! What I said during the last broadcast, I think there was a misunderstanding. About a year ago, I mentioned to my manager, who left the company early, about how I wanted to go back to taking Korean classes and she responded very lightly right away, so I took it as a joke and also thought it was really funny. I just wanted to share a fun story with you, but I think there was a misunderstanding. This conversation didn’t reach my label or the CEO, as it was light. I am really sorry about that. It was never my intention for what I mentioned yesterday to become so big. I hope there is no misunderstanding and don’t worry about it!!”
On the same date, ADOR shared an official statement about the case, in addition to clarifying rumors that the NewJeans maknae, Hyeineven though he was only 15 years old, he had gotten dental veneers and left school.
The statement has the following translation:
Expensive,
In light of the various false information that circulated following Hanni’s recent live call, we would like to clarify the company’s position. While this may be a passing issue, we would still like to provide everyone with all the details in order to dispel any exaggerated claims.
Our goal is to address any concerns by sharing accurate facts and presenting a clear perspective of the company.
Regarding member training, ADOR has been hiring instructors and scheduling classes according to the needs of NewJeans members. We have been doing this continuously and until recently we had a separate language class for Hanni. This also applies to Korean language teaching. Academic matters and privacy-related matters are personal decisions of great importance to members, and the company never [ sic ] made decisions for them at our own discretion.
Hyein’s decision to take the high school equivalency exam and study at home was entirely made by her parents, and the rumor that Hyein had her teeth plated is not true. Hyein started the dental program before joining ADOR as an intern, with her parents’ consent. Furthermore, the program aimed to improve the safety of tooth alignment while at the same time preserving existing teeth as much as possible, which is clearly different from dental veneers. All of the information mentioned above refers to events that occurred before Hyein joined ADOR as an intern, so we thoroughly fact-check each matter.
ADOR places utmost importance on the fact that NewJeans members are going through a significant phase of personal growth and learning that goes beyond their entertainment activities, encompassing all aspects of their daily lives. ADOR is making efforts to ensure that even the smallest skills required for entertainment activities are part of their learning process and therefore provides support to ensure that small to significant decisions in their work as well as in their personal lives, be taken with care and consideration.
We also believe that fully supporting any decision they make is another important responsibility of ADOR.
As always, ADOR will fulfill its responsibilities with dedication and commitment to supporting NewJeans members. Therefore, we sincerely request that you avoid unfounded speculation and exaggerated interpretations regarding privacy issues regarding members.Thanks.
