The first International K-Drama Day gets a date

Attention, K-drama fans! The Rakuten Viki platform, the leading streaming service for Asian dramas and films, announced that it will hold the first celebration for International K-Drama Day, which takes place on November 29th, with the aim of recognizing all fans for the great growing and popularity of the genre.

One lucky fan will be chosen by Rakuten Viki to receive a special, all-expenses-paid trip to South Korea, where they will go on an eight-day K-drama-themed guided tour, where the person will have the unique chance to visit iconic locations featured in some hit dramas, such as “Boys Over Flowers”, “Hotel Del Luna”, “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God”, and more.

Only on International K-Drama Day, on November 29th, fans will be able to purchase any Viki Pass subscription with a 29% discount, gaining access to a large catalog of productions, without ads.

Exclusive content

Some hit dramas, such as “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”, “Twinkling Watermelon” and others, will be available to stream for free for a limited time on Rakuten Viki.

Meanwhile, on Instagram, live broadcasts are scheduled with Yoo Seung Hofrom “The Deal”, on November 29th, at 11pm (Brasília time), and Sung Hoon, from “Perfect Marriage Revenge”, the next day and at the same time. Additionally, a musical tribute to K-dramas will be performed by the soloist Vincefrom THE BLACKLABEL.
