The new film about the Fantastic Four is only scheduled for release in 2025
The new “Fantastic Four” film has been highly anticipated by fans — and its main cast may be close to being confirmed. This is because, according to information released by the Deadline portal (via Omelete), the actor Pedro Pascal would be negotiating to bring to life the character Richard Reeds, Mister Fantastic.
Sources would have informed the website that the contract has not yet been finalized, and that everything depends on the actor’s schedule next year, taking into account that the star has already scheduled the start of recording for the new season of “The Last of Us”, in addition to the “Gladiator” sequel.
In an exclusive conversation with the Omelete portal, the director Matt Shakman had already confirmed that recordings for the new “Fantastic Four” will also begin in 2024, with no official date yet.
It is worth remembering that, for months, there have been countless speculations about the cast responsible for playing the iconic characters. In August this year, the journalist Jeff Sneiderfrom the Hot Mic podcast, revealed that Marvel had already selected some actors for the film.
Sneider also stated that the studio had closed with Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible — Reckoning: Part 1) to play Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman, and who was in negotiations with Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) for the role of Johnny Storm, the Human Torch. The talks would have been paralyzed due to the Hollywood actors’ strike.
The new live-action “Fantastic Four” is scheduled for release in 2025, and will be responsible for the beginning of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a script written by Josh Friedman (Avatar: The Path of Water), and direction of Matt Shakman (WandaVision).
