After 35 seasons, a classic Homer and Bart scene will no longer be part of the episodes. Find it out!
In the animated series “The Simpsons”, an act that was present in all 35 seasons, and became a characteristic of the relationship between Homer and Bart, is when the father strangles his son — but this should no longer happen.
In one of the most recent episodes, Homer states that, from now on, he will no longer strangle the boy, as “times have changed”. At the time, he is shaking hands with his newest neighbor, Thayer, who praises his strength. In response, he says: “See, Marge? Choking the boy yielded results! I’m joking: I don’t do that anymore, times have changed.”
I just found out that, after over 30 years, The Simpsons has finally retired their long-running gag of Homer strangling Bart.
