The year was 2015, and JYP Entertainment produced a survival program with the company’s female trainees to decide who would be the members of their new girl group, TWICE. In total, 16 girls competed for seven places that would make up the group.

1. Somi
Jeon Somi was one of the SIXTEEN finalists, but ended up not joining the group. After the show ended, she participated in another survival show to form a girl group, where she was one of the winners and debuted in the temporary group IOI.
After the disbandment, Somi left JYP and signed with THE BLACKLABEL, a subsidiary of YG Entertainment, where he debuted as a soloist. Their most recent release was the new mini-album “GAME PLAN”, which arrived accompanied by an impactful MV for the title track “Fast Forward”. Watch!
2. Chaeyeon
Being the first eliminated from the program, Lee Chaeyeon left JYP Entertainment shortly after his departure, signing with WM Entertainment. In 2018, she participated in another survival show, Produce 48, where she managed to debut as a member of the temporary group IZ*ONE.
After the girl group’s disbandment last year, Chaeyeon participated in the dance competition program Street Woman Fighter, where she was part of the WANT team. The idol made her solo debut with a mini album, titled “HUSH RUSH”, released on October 12, 2022.
3. Chaeryeong
Lee Chaeryeong is the younger sister of Chaeyeon, and was also one of the SIXTEEN finalists, but ended up not being able to join TWICE. Despite not being chosen, she remained in JYP and ended up debuting in another girl group, ITZY.

4. Jiwon

5. Eunsuh

6. Natty
As SIXTEEN’s youngest participant, the Thai Natty was one of the finalists, but ended up not being able to debut with TWICE. She also participated in Idol School, but finished in 13th place and did not debut on fromis_9.

7. Minyoung
The last participant on this list is Minyoung, who also made it to the finals, but was not chosen to participate in TWICE. Like this Eunsuh, there isn’t much information about what the former trainee is currently doing. With the end of the program, Minyoung left JYP, and rumors say that she gave up being an idol and returned to the United States in order to focus on her studies.
