Last Thursday, the 26th, the nominees for this year’s edition of the Billboard Music Awards were revealed. This time, the awards show has four new K-pop categories: Best Global K-Pop Artist, Best K-Pop Album, Best Global K-Pop Song and Best Tour by a K-pop Artist.

Best Tour by a K-pop Artist
In addition to these categories focused entirely on K-pop, some idols were nominated in others, such as Jimin, by BTS, who is competing in the Best Selling Song category with their track “Like Crazy”. The star competes for the award alongside Miley Cyrus, Oliver Anthony Music, Jason Aldean It is Taylor Swift.
Already the NewJeans is a finalist in the artist category on Top Billboard Global (Excl. USA), alongside Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd It is Ed Sheeran. And lastly, the FIFTY FITY competes for Top Duo/Group, with the other nominees Frontera Group, Metallica, Eslabon ArmadoIt is Power Ruled.
Billboard Music Awards winners are determined by Billboard chart performance metrics. The period analyzed by the magazine to define this year’s winners is from November 4, 2022 to October 12, 2023. The awards ceremony takes place on November 19.
