Check out some curious facts about TWICE, who are celebrating eight years of debut

1. Another group?
Before “Sixteen”, JYP Entertainment had plans to debut a girl group called 6MIX, and it would feature six members. Its lineup featured several changes, however, the final formation would be composed of Minyoung, Lena, Cecilia, Jihyo, Jeongyeon It is Nayeon. However, after the departure of Cecilia of the company, his place ended up being replaced by Sana.
When they were preparing for their long-awaited debut in 2014, as reported by Koreaboo, the agency ended up canceling the idea of debuting 6MIX. 2. The formation almost had fewer members

“At that time, Sana was going through a difficult situation and I saw how the other members supported her and it touched my heart. I wrote the song in honor of their friendship. After I finished the song, I wrote the lyrics on paper, framed it and gave it to Sana”, said the producer in an interview with CNN Brasil.
5. Inspiration for the name
JY Park He was also responsible for coming up with the name TWICE. It means the members “will be able to move people twice. Once through the ears and once through the eyes.” The name of their fandom, ONCE, also has a special meaning. After their debut, the group explained through Instagram that “If you love us at least once [once]we will return your love with double our love [twice]”.
