On the set of The Conversations, hosted by Joseph Ghosn, Ines de la Fressange’s daughter returned to the origins of her first book, Even the sound of the night has changed where he recalls his childhood marked by the loss of his father, Luigi d’Urso.

The narrator tries his best to compensate for his absence, between family stories, myths and fictions, he follows in the footsteps of the man he establishes as a hero without really knowing him.

In this interview with Joseph Goss, Associate Editor Madame FigaroInes de la Fresange’s daughter is also surprised. “We often have a hard time imagining the life our parents might have had before us.” A path he takes in his novel, which talks about Italy’s dolce vita, but also its darker sides, such as the drug addiction that eventually took his father. The young 23-year-old author admits. “I dreamed of being a writer or at least seeing a book I wrote in a bookstore.” Before revealing that he is going to leave for New York, where he will resume his studies. And he started writing his second novel.
