As it is the production that will mark Disney’s centenary celebrations, the film will feature numerous references to the universe created by Walt Disney. These Easter eggs may refer to several of the studio’s productions released over these 100 years.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the animation’s directors, Chris Buck It is Fawn Veerasunthorn, commented on what it was like to place the references within the film’s narrative. They said:
They are all over the film. We’re compiling a list and I can’t tell you how long it is now. Each department puts things in and there are some that we don’t even know are still there, and we may not know until they tell us… It’s a screen…” (via Terra)
The directors also revealed that fans of the Mickey Mouse house can expect traces of the studio’s classic films, such as “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and “Sleeping Beauty”. In fact, some internet users have already noticed the presence of an Easter egg featuring the first Disney princess in one of the materials released. Check out!
