Among the themes covered in the production is his diagnosis of lupus, in addition to his battle with anxiety and depression. Despite presenting extremely important subjects, during a recent interview with the Music & Health Conference (via The Hollwood Reporter), the star commented a little more about the behind-the-scenes of the documentary.
“I knew that eventually one day I wanted to just be an actress for a while, and I didn’t know if that would put things in jeopardy in my life. I don’t know what I’m doing, letting people into my life. And so, the moment it came out… I had no choice at that moment. And I was relieved. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of me,” Selena said.
Furthermore, Gomez He also revealed that, today, he believes he will never watch the content again, as it is very difficult.
“I felt like I needed to say things that I’ve been holding onto for years. It’s very difficult for me to watch. I’ll never watch it again, but I’m very proud of it. I couldn’t have been luckier to have the people who worked on this with me.”
