Discover what Disney villains would be like if they were created by Tim Burton

See what Jarfar, Cruella, Maleficent, Scar and other Disney villains could be like if they starred in one of Tim Burton’s works

Even before their perverse actions, Disney villains are capable of leaving anyone intimidated by their presence, as the look of these characters is designed to reflect the evil that lives in their hearts, having exaggerated characteristics and full of cold tones.

Thinking about it, have you ever imagined what these figures would be like if thought of by Tim Burton? The filmmaker, producer, screenwriter, writer, animator and designer is known for his unique style that travels through gothic and dark settings with characters with pale skin and prominent bones, almost always accompanied by large, deep-set eyes.

The truth is Burton has not yet produced any villains for Disney, but with the help of Artificial Intelligence, the Instagram page, Milan Jaram Creations (@milanjaram), can recreate the biggest villains from Mickey Mouse following the aesthetic that the director of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” by Jack”, he usually includes in his productions.

In the video, you can see the looks of Scar (The Lion King), Hades (Hercules), Jafar (Aladdin), Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians), Gaston (Beauty and the Beast), Maleficent (Maleficent), Captain Hook (Peter Pan), Ursula (The Little Mermaid) and many others. Look!

It is worth remembering that this is not the first time that the style of Burton is recreated by AI, as it is common to see images and photos on the internet of other characters with the same characteristics as the animator, one of the most popular being the version of Disney princesses published by Buzzfeed.

So much so, that the filmmaker behind “Wandinha”, the Netflix hit, and films such as “Edward Scissorhands”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Beetlejuice – Beetlejuice”, got to see some of these versions, and revealed in an interview with The Independent (via CNN), that he didn’t have good feelings when he checked out the artwork:

They had the AI make my versions of Disney characters. I can’t describe the feeling it gives you. It reminded me of when other cultures say, ‘Don’t take my picture because it’s taking your soul.’”

Furthermore, he admitted that some of the projections were good, but that doesn’t make the fact of having his work aesthetic copied by a set of technologies linked to a computer any less uncomfortable.

What it does is suck something out of you. It removes something from your soul or psyche; this is very upsetting, especially if it has to do with you. It’s like a robot takes your humanity, your soul,” he says.
