Why will Wolverine wear classic costume? Director explains

One of the films whose production was interrupted due to the Hollywood actors’ strike, which began in July, was “Deadpool 3”. The production is being highly anticipated by fans, as it will feature the return of Hugh Jackman in the role of Wolverine.

But before the actors’ strike actually took place, fans got a small preview of the film. That’s because behind-the-scenes photos of the film were released, where we can see Wolverine’s performer wearing the X-Men character’s classic yellow costume. Remember!

The production director, Shawn Levyexplained in a recent interview with EW (via Omelete), the reason for jackman be wearing the traditional Wolverine uniform. He said:

Just like the rest of the world, I’ve waited two decades to see Wolverine in a Deadpool movie. And I don’t know if this is our last chance with Wolverine on screen, so I wanted to make sure we got the old yellow and blue one at least once — and that we did it right.”

Levi He also commented that the film having the support of the Marvel Studios teams influenced the decision on the character’s clothing:

It also helps that I’m making this movie within the MCU, so I have access to an army of the biggest nerds available for a Marvel project.”

In addition to the return of jackman like Wolverine, Deadpool 3 will feature the return of Jennifer Garner in the role of Elektra. The actress gave life to the character in the 2003 film “Daredevil”, and in the heroine’s solo production in 2005.

It is worth remembering that this will be the first Deadpool film after Disney acquired Fox, therefore, it will be the first production of the anti-hero to officially take place in the MCU. So far, the film is scheduled to premiere on May 3, 2024, but it is expected to change due to the Hollywood strikes.
