5 Pixar characters who also deserved solo movies

Besides Buzz, there are other Pixar characters who also deserve their own movies. Check some!

In 2022, a new Disney and Pixar film, entitled “Lightyear”, arrived in theaters, which tells the story behind the hero who inspired the creation of the space patrol doll from the famous Toy Story franchise.

As the film’s official synopsis reads, “As Buzz tries to find a way back home through space and time, a group of ambitious recruits and charming companion robot cat, Sox, join the hero. To complicate matters, Zurg, an imposing presence, and his army of ruthless robots, arrive on the planet with a mysterious appointment.

Just like Buzz, Pixar is full of characters that also have great potential to receive a solo movie and that everyone would want to see. Thinking about it, Recreio separated 5 characters that could win a spin-off. Check out!

1. Ice Cream (The Incredibles)

One of Pixar’s most beloved heroes next to the Pear family is Frocy, Mr. Incredible’s best friend. In “The Incredibles”, we follow the relationship between him and the family of superheroes a lot, but not much is explained about his history – something that could easily be presented in a spin-off.

2. Woody (Toy Story)

If “Lightyear” is Andy’s favorite movie, which made him fall in love with Space Ranger Buzz, why not also release a feature film that tells the story of Woody? The film could also count on the participation of his friends Jessie, Bala no Alvo and Pete Stinky, who are part of the same universe.

3. Boo (SA Monsters)

At the end of Monsters Inc., when Mike prepares a surprise for Sully by rebuilding Boo’s door, we see that the big blue monster managed to reunite with the little girl, but we don’t follow this iconic moment. A solo film about Boo could present this meeting expected by so many, in addition to explaining how the girl’s life turned out after she was exposed to the world of monsters.

4. Edna Moda (The Incredibles)

Edna is the stylist responsible for developing all the costumes for the superheroes in The Incredibles franchise. But, have you ever wondered how she got into this business? And how did she develop her huge trauma to uniforms with capes? A spin-off would be perfect to explain all of this.

5. Crush (Finding Nemo)

After telling Dory’s story in the 2016 spin-off “Finding Dory”, another character from the “Finding Nemo” franchise who also deserved a solo film is Crush, the beloved 150-year-old turtle who meets Dory and Marlin. during his search for Nemo.
