Top 5 Stranger Things Season 4 Easter Eggs

As usual, the first part of the fourth season of Stranger Things arrived filled with easter eggs related to the 80s, and Recreio prepared a list of the best five especially for you. Check out!

1. The Ghostbusters

In season four, we can see a small reference to Ghostbusters thanks to a button present in Dustin’s backpack when he goes to the Creel’s haunted house. However, this is not the first time the series has referenced the classic film. During the second season, the entire gang dressed up in the Ghost Hunters’ uniforms in celebration of Halloween.

2. Star Wars

Volume 1 presents two simple references to the great world of Star Wars. One of them happens when they relate the fact that Lucas is getting involved with the basketball team as “being taken to the dark side of the Force”. The other appears at the end of Dungeons & Dragons, when Dustin repeats a line spoken by Han Solo. On occasion, he says “never tell me the odds”.

3. Halloween

When comparing the story of Chrissy’s murder to that of Victor Creel’s family, Uncle Eddie refers to the man as the “real bogeyman”. It turns out that this is the same nickname given to the murderer Michael Myers, from the famous horror movie franchise “Halloween”.

4. Top Gun

It’s not today that Stranger Things comments on Nancy’s love for the actor Tom Cruise. However, during the first part of the fourth season, this passion is referenced through a poster of the movie Top Gun, released in 1986, present in Mike’s sister’s room, where we can see the heartthrob as his character Maverick.

5. Lord of the Rings

When the gang reunites with Eddie and explains the whole plan to go in search of a new portal to the Upside Down in order to personally destroy Vecna, the boy makes a reference that every fan of geek culture can understand. At the time, he says that the quest would be like walking to Mordor, a region of the Lord of the Rings that is occupied and controlled by Sauron.
