Ukraine’s revenues currently cover only a third of costs, the rest – loans and assistance, said the head of the Ministry of Finance.
Ukrainian authorities expect up to UAH 60 billion state budget revenues from taxes and customs in May 2022. This was announced by Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko on the air of the telethon on Monday, May 30.
The head of the Ministry of Finance said that, compared to the period before the war, values †‹вЂ‹ have fallen significantly. Thus, from the norm Ukraine receives income of 26-30% of pre -war income, from taxes – 75%. At the same time, comparing with March and April of this year, the situation with receipts is the best, Marchenko stressed.
At the same time, according to the minister, budget expenditures also increased. Thus, three-quarters of the funds are directed to military needs, from 10 to 15 billion hryvnia goes to humanitarian programs per month, in particular, to support temporarily displaced persons and payments of 6,500 hryvnia.
“Ukraine’s revenues currently cover only a third of costs, the rest – internal and external loans, as well as assistance. The government has agreed to a bill on VAT on imported goods .Now VAT revenues will help support domestic producers, ”Marchenko said.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada plans to increase budget spending for 2022 by UAH 287 billion through additional external borrowing.
