Suit against ATTRAKT was signed by the four members of FIFTY FIFTY: Aran, Keena, Saena, and Sio
This Wednesday, the 28th, the four members of FIFTY FIFTY— aran, keena, saenaIt is site — sued ATTRAKT and requested the suspension of exclusive contracts with the company.
The official statement released by the quartet’s legal representative, the BARUN law firm, explains that the request was made with the allegation that the agency violated the terms of the contract.
The official text was published by the South Korean news portal Soompi, and has the following translation:
This is an advertisement for the law firm BARUN, the legal representative of Saena, Keena, Aran and Sio from FIFTY FIFTY.
Through their legal representative, the four members filed a request for an interim disposition suspending the validity of their exclusive contracts at the Seoul Central District Court on June 19, and the judgment is ongoing. This is due to the fact that ATTRAKT violated the terms of the contract and took actions that resulted in the destruction of a relationship based on trust.
Members have not responded while the trial is ongoing. The legal representative pointed out several issues that occurred so far and sent a correspondence requesting correction, but ATTRAKT is discrediting the members through continuous media coverage without trying to explain about the requests, so we released this statement.
Despite our young age, the four members tried their best to think and behave independently. After sufficient discussion with our parents, we came to raise the issue with the help of our legal representative. However, ATTRAKT is not listening to the members’ voices, saying that it was an attempt to extort the members by an outside force, and arbitrarily disclosing the reason for a member’s surgery without consulting them, while they fail to clearly explain their breach of contract. . The members were very disappointed and frustrated to see this situation.
Members raised concerns about various circumstances in which ATTRAKT failed to fulfill contractual obligations, such as non-transparent agreements and the unilateral attempt to impose [atividades agendadas] despite [os membros] transmit their bad health conditions. We would like to make it clear that this is an independent decision by the four members in unison, without any third party intervention.
Members are well aware of the importance of this period and are aware of the concern of many people around them. When we started training, we were determined to become artists who could have a positive influence. We, the four members, do not agree or keep silent about the irregularities. Without falsehood and without external pressure, we made this decision just to go our own way.
At least going forward, we ask that ATTRAKT not defame the FIFTY FIFTY members anymore, at least going forward.
The four members just want to get back to the fans who support us as soon as possible. Even after that, we promise that we will become more independent and diligent artists.
Thanks.
It’s worth remembering that last week, ATTRAKT announced that legal action would be taken against Warner Music Korea. This is because, the company believes that the company would have allegedly tried to convince FIFTY FIFTY to leave their current agency. Warner Music Korea denied the allegations.
Furthermore, last Tuesday, the 27th, ATTRAKT shared an additional official statement with information that it had filed criminal charges against Ahn Sung IlCEO of creative content development group The Givers, as well as three other individuals.
