And with this newest achievement, BTS became the first artist in the history of the Global 200 to score a new song in the first place since this ranking was created, in 2020. Until then, another star who had achieved the feat had been Mariah Careywith their classic hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, which at Christmas time, always returns to the top.
It is worth noting that BTS was also the only artist to reach the top position on the Global Excl. in all years. The group surpassed its own record as the artist with the most songs at the top of the charts: in all, the South Koreans placed seven songs in the first place, namely “Dynamite”, “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)”, “Life Goes On”, “Butter”, “Permission to Dance”, “My Universe” and the most recent one, “Take Two”.
BTS debuted under Big Hit Entertainment (now BigHit Music) in June 2013 and is currently on hiatus due to the mandatory military enlistment that members need to do. The prediction is that the original formation, which is composed by MRI, Jin, Sucks, j-hope, Jimin, V It is jungkook, return to the stage only in 2025. The digital hit “Take Two” was released this month to celebrate the group’s 10th anniversary. Check out!
