Sulli’, last work by Sulli, from f(x)

Last weekend, Brazilian fans would have found on Netflix Brazil that the series “Persona: Sulli”, starring Sulliby f(x), had been added to the catalogue, scheduled for release on June 16th.

The “Persona” franchise emerged in 2019 and, according to the Soompi portal, it is a four-part film series with four different directors. The first season was performed by the soloist UIwhile the second would have Sulli as the main one, and would have five episodes.

However, after the idol’s death in October of the same year, the recordings were interrupted with only two episodes filmed, as reflected by the NME portal. At the time, production company Mystic Story said, “Nothing has been decided yet on whether this project will be released publicly.”

After the repercussion of the matter on social networks, a Netflix spokesperson spoke to the SpoTV News portal, stating that the launch of the production is still under discussion.

“’Persona: Sulli’ is a project produced by Mystic Story. Currently, general discussion is ongoing, including the possibility of transmitting [o filme] on Netflix along with the final release date.”

Sulli began her career in the South Korean entertainment industry at a very young age as a child actress. In 2009, she debuted as a member of the SM Entertainment girl group f(x), alongside victoria, amber, Luna It is Krystalwhere together they released hits like “4 Walls”, “Electric Shock”, “Rum Pum Pum Pum”, “Hot Summer” and more. Sulli passed away in October 2019 at age 25.
