‘The Pink Panther’ Reboot Is In Development

According to information disclosed by Variety (via Jovem Nerd), the actor Eddie Murphywould be in negotiations to star in a reboot of the movie “The Pink Panther”, where he would play the Coliseum inspector. The information, however, has not yet been confirmed.

The site also states that the new version of “The Pink Panther” is being commanded by Jeff Fowler (Sonic), while the script is signed by Chris Bremme (Bad Boys Forever). There is still no information about the other actors who will compose the cast.

As reported by the Omelete portal, sources reported to The Hollywood Reporter that the production should be a hybrid of live-action and CGI, and is still in its early stages. The proposal for the feature would be to present a team of humans interacting with the panther, made by CGI, while trying to carry out a robbery.

Eddie Murphy is a renowned actor in Hollywood, known for starring in numerous hits. In his portfolio are productions such as “A Prince in New York”, “Shrek”, “Haunted Mansion”, “Norbit”, “Dr. Dolittle”, among others.

The franchise of “The Pink Panther” had its first version released in 1963, starring Peter Sellers. The feature did not take long to become a success, and soon conquered its own animation series.
