A petition has appeared on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to create separate carriages for women and men. The author of the petition, Olga Ozhogina, points out that on long routes, when there is a need to sleep in compartment or second-class carriages, passengers may feel discomfort due to passengers of the opposite sex.

Inappropriate behavior is not uncommon, such as obsessive behavior, deliberate touching of other passengers, etc. In particular, there are even cases of rape in compartment cars, the author of the petition adds.
According to her, both women and men may feel the need to change clothes, but doing this in the presence of a member of the opposite sex is uncomfortable and inconvenient.
According to the signers of the petition, the allocation of at least one separate carriage for women and one carriage for men can make travel safer and prevent negative experiences for passengers.
