Spotify’s original audioseries features new episodes every Tuesday
Get ready for more discoveries and twists in all-new episodes of the Spotify Original Audio Series Batman Awakens — March or April? and Fatal Things — which debut today (24) on Spotify.
After Bruce Wayne breaks free from Hugo Strange’s captivity (Marcelo Varzea) and remember that it’s Batman (Rocco Pitanga), he follows, along with Barbara Gordon (Taina Müller) and the Riddler (Augusto Madeira), in search of Strange and Cornelius Stirk (Hugo Bonemer) and discovers another criminal involved in the Gotham murders and Strange’s experiments: Poison Ivy (Camila Pitanga). Listen to new episodes every Tuesday, free, only on Spotify.
Batman goes to Arkham Asylum and has help from Jervis Tetch, King Tut and Calendar Man to understand who the mysterious partner is who betrayed the sanitarium’s psychiatrist and killed him. The Dark Knight finds recordings of Stirk’s therapy sessions with Strange and another known Gotham villain is mentioned in the cannibal villain’s memoir: Jonathan Crane the Scarecrow.
But that’s not all Batman discovers… Another Arkham patient also instigated Stirk to become a dangerous bloodthirsty serial killer and was greatly admired by the therapist, becoming an accomplice. “I am the woman they (men) cannot have. Untouchable”, speaks the patient in one of the sessions with Strange, revealing that she is Pamela, and that she gained the nickname Poison Ivy in childhood, after hurting a boy at school after he touches her. As the woman on the recordings tells her life story to the psychiatrist, the audience is surprised to see that Kell — Bruce’s assistant at the morgue — is actually Pamela/Hera.
