Former Moldovan president Dodon was sent to prison

A rally was held near the house of the fifth president of Moldova, participants demanded that the former head of state be sent to prison.

Police took Moldova’s fifth president, Igor Dodon, to a pre-trial detention center. He was detained on suspicion of treason. On Tuesday, May 24, the Point.md. Report.

A white minibus was taken to the politician’s house, where he was placed by employees of the Information and Security Service of Moldova. At that moment, a rally was held near the politician’s house, with participants shouting “Jail!”

Dodon got into the car without any statement. He was reportedly detained for 72 hours. According to a representative of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, two more people are incarcerated in this case.

RosSMI later reported that Dodon said he could provide the necessary explanations that could stop all charges. He called on the Socialist Party to support anti -government protests.

It is now reported that Igor Dodon is incarcerated on suspicion of a number of crimes, including corruption and treason.

Earlier, it was reported that a search was being done on Dodon’s house.
