The head of the jury is Swedish director Ruben Östlund, who twice received the Palme d’Or for the films Square and Triangle of Sadness.
On Tuesday, May 16, the 76th Cannes International Film Festival will begin on the Côte d’Azur in France, which will run until May 27, 2023. This will be the first festival with a female president – Iris Knobloch. It was reported by Interfax.
The film festival will open with a historical drama directed by French director Maiwenn Favoritka, starring Johnny Depp, Maiwenn, Louis Garrel, Pierre Richard and Noemi Lvovsky.

It was previously reported that Chernobyl 22, a Ukrainian film directed by Oleksii Radinsky, won the Grand Prix at the International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen.
