After the release of the third mini-album of their career entitled “MY WORLD” last Monday, 08, aespa broke yet another record and became the group that sold the most albums on the first day of K-pop history.
Information released by Hanteo Chart (via Soompi), states that aespa sold 1,372,929 million copies of the new album on the first day of the album’s release, a number that made the girls obtain the new sales record for girlgroups.
In addition, the aespa became the third group to achieve more than 1 million copies of albums sold on the first day of sales, since before them, BLACKPINK and LE SSERAFIM had already achieved the feat with “BORN PINK”, reached 1.01 million copies albums sold and UNFORGIVEN” with 1.02 million copies sold, respectively.

With “MY WORLD”, aespa also became the second group to achieve the highest sales of album copies in the first week.
